Radiological Surveys

Fathoms is considered one of Europe’s foremost providers of radiological detection and recovery services. From 1994, Fathoms has been actively involved with the location and safe removal of radioactive particles from the seabed and contaminated land.

 

For land operations Fathoms developed TERRIER (Terrestrial Radiological Investigation & Environmental Reporting) - a system to characterise ground conditions and accurately identify & map radiological signatures.

 

For marine operations Fathoms developed TROL (Tracked Remote Offshore Logging) - a tracked ROV unit that is capable of real-time gamma spectroscopy. TROL is a highly reliable & manoeuvrable vehicle which can operate to a depth of 100m. The whole system can be configured for a number of different operations.

 

Fathoms personnel are highly skilled & experienced in the field of detection and recovery and offer a complete solution whether the project is marine or terrestrial. Fathoms has an exemplary Health & Safety record, with the principle of ALARP at he core of all its radiological operations.
