Environmental Surveys

Fathoms’ environmental work extends since before the installation of the world’s first commercial wave powered generator in 1995 for which Fathoms undertook all the preliminary work.

 

Fathoms’ experience includes establishing meteorological stations in remote areas, measurement of wave and tidal regimes, establishment of baseline conditions for renewable energy sites, monitoring of radiological contamination both onshore and offshore, recovery of radiological contamination from the seabed, vessel salvages to prevent further contamination, surveys for flood prevention, etc.
