Hydrodynamic & Water Quality Survey

Isle of Man, Ramsey Marina Redevelopment

Fathoms were recently commissioned to conduct a hydrodynamic and water quality survey in Ramsey Harbour and the River Sulby on the Isle of Man. The survey was required to validate model data, as part of the consultants Environmental Impact Assessment report. The data was submitted in the form of an interpretive report and data CD.

The range of surveys included:

• Chemical water sampling of the River Sulby
• Current monitoring conducted at regular intervals within Ramsey Harbour during spring and neap tidal cycles
• Current profiling within the River Sulby
• Long term multi-parameter in-situ water quality measurements at 3 locations on the river and within the harbour
• Precise water level measurements

All surveys were completed on schedule, with maximum data return and excellent data quality.
